Durante la notte sul bonjovi.com è stato pubblicato un messaggio di Jon Bon Jovi riguardante l’appendicectomia d’urgenza di Tico Torres, avvenuta il 10 Settembre scorso, a causa della quale è stato necessario cancellare il concerto di quella stessa sera.
L’operazione di Tico è riuscita e ora si trova in ospedale a Città del Messico.
La decisione dopo l’operazione è quella di rinviare le prossime date tra 2 settimane per dare tempo a Tico di rimettersi dall’operazione.
Le date spostate o cancellate sono:
- Cordoba, Argentina: cancellato
- Santiago, Chile: spostato al 24 settembre
- Buenos Aires, Argentina: spostato al 26 settembre
- Mexico City, Mexico: spostato al 29 settembre
MESSAGGIO DA JON: SALUTI DA CITTA’ DEL MESSICO
Nel messaggio Jon fa sapere che l’operazione di Tico è riuscita e che adesso si trova all’ American British Cowdray Hospital a Città del Messico e ringrazia tutti i medici, dottori e tutto il personale che hanno aiutato il batterista.
Aggiunge inoltre che la band resterà a Città del Messico con Tico fino alla sua dimissione. Jon e David hanno passato la giornata in ospedale con Tico, che ringrazia per tutti i pensieri e le preghiere dei fan. Vuol far sapere che era suo desiderio esibirsi e aveva promesso ai dottori che sarebbe tornato per l’operazione subito dopo lo show, ma i dottori hanno avuto la meglio.
Jon aggiunge che è consapevole che molti dei suoi fan fanno grandi sforzi e lunghi viaggi per riuscire a vederli in tour. Resta comunque loro desiderio di dare tutto quello che hanno da dare ogni sera. Sono spiacenti per l’inconveniente che questo improvviso cambio di piani ha causato. Ripianificheranno tutte le date possibili e continueranno il tour dino a Dicembre.

Greetings from Mexico City.
Last night Tico Torres underwent an emergency appendectomy. Thankfully, the operation was a success and Tico is now recovering in the care of his doctors at the American British Cowdray Hospital. We’d like to thank the doctors, nurses and all the hospital staff who helped our friend through this difficult time.
We’ll remain here with Tico in Mexico City and will see him through his release. David and I spent the day with him at the hospital and Tico sends his thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. He wants everyone to know that it was his desire to perform. He even promised the doctors he would come back for the surgery right after the show but the doctors prevailed.
We know many of you make great efforts and travel from around the world to see us on tour. It remains our desire to give you the best that we have every night. We are sorry for any inconvenience this sudden change of plans may have caused. We’ll re-schedule any dates that we can and will continue the tour through December.
